New Balance Connoisseur Retro Skiing Collection – A First Look

The NEW BALANCE CONNOISSEUR RETRO SKIING COLLECTION includes a selection of models in a host of retro-inspired colourways.

So far, we’ve seen a wide range of different inspirations for the brand’s CONNOISSEUR releases and this time around, it’s the turn of RETRO SKIING! The adventurous among us, who brave the cold and snow, may recognise that the colourways come not only from vintage apparel and equipment of yesteryear, but also the lodges that provide refuge after a day on the slopes. A mix of the more traditional options of suede and mesh are joined by cotton twills on the uppers of the 990, 996, 997 and 998. There’s a real mix of colours and styles amongst the eight colourways, so there should be a little something for everyone in this alpine-esque release.
