The 1500 was originally launched as a premium running shoe, way back in 1989. Designed by the legendary Steven Smith, the silhouette has stood the test of time and is one of the most recognisable shoes in the New Balance line-up. For 2019, the 1500 is celebrating its 30th birthday with this bold, multicoloured edition, entitled as the New Balance M1500PRT. A lively version of the original design, this release forms part of the new ‘Sample Lab’ pack. Aside from the colours, the materials and construction are second-to-none: the leather used across the upper section is substantial, with a strong, supportive rubber sole unit underneath. The jagged, tribal print ruins from the toe to heel, giving this classic design a new burst of energy that works well.
