If there’s one New Balance shoe we want to make our own, then it’s got to be the 997, which is pretty handy, as it just so happens to be the newest addition to the NB1 roster. A jewel in the 99X Series crown, it first made its way onto the shelves in the early ‘90s and hasn’t really come up for a breath since.

For its NB1 debut, the ENCAP-equipped sole unit can be modified in a mix of white or black with suede portions across the toe, saddle, and heel offered in a rainbow range of colours. Things really get interesting across the remaining panels, which can be applied in a variety of premium fabrications; including a suede, reflective or synthetic finish. Your very own personalised characters can then be embroidered on the back heel, truly putting the power of footwear craftsmanship in your hands.
