The Nike Air Force 1 Silver Snake is Here

The NIKE AIR FORCE 1 SILVER SNAKE has been the subject of many conversations, ever since whisperings last year suggested that it might be returning. Well, brace yourself: those rumours have turned out to be true.

What can you say about the Air Force 1 that would do the shoe any real justice? Bruce Kilgore’s creation changed the way we looked at basketball footwear, establishing itself as a street staple due to its versatility, bold shape and availability. Looking at the current editions, not much has changed from the basic 1982 design, which reinforces its cult status as a timeless piece of footwear. Nike have retro’d several classic AF-1s over the past few years – Linen, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Ivory Snake, to name some of them – and the 3M Snake edition gets to join the list as well. A definitive classic and perhaps one of the best AF-1s ever released, the black leather and 3M reflective uppers provide a background for the snakeskin-textured Swoosh which gives the shoe its nickname. The dark blue Nike Air branding from the original release has been swapped for a revised black version, but other than this, it looks like this retro is pretty close to the original shoe. You won’t want to miss this one when it drops.
