Be on the Neon: the Nike Air Ghost Racer Returns in OG Colours

The NIKE AIR GHOST RACER returns in Neon Yellow this season, bringing the lightweight long distance shoe back for the first time since its debut in 1998.

The Nike Air Ghost Racer is a strong option if you’re tired of the bulked-up dad shoe trend and want something much lighter on your feet. Originally designed for marathon runners, the Ghost Racer was given its title due to how inconspicuous it feels when on-foot: despite featuring plenty of tech (such as the Zoom system in the sole), it remains to be one of the lightest models of its era. The welded mesh and leather uppers look as good as they did when the shoe first dropped, timing perfectly with the re-release of other models such as the Vomero, which follows a similar style and aesthetic. Designed by the legendary Steven Smith, the Ghost Racer was also noted for its appealing price point at the time of release and the interesting mix of colourways that were on offer.
