Originally designed for marathon runners by Steven Smith in 1998, the Ghost Racer was one of the lightest models of the era that spawned it, which no doubt contributed to its namesake. Its welded mesh and leather uppers look as good as they did when the shoe first dropped, timing perfectly with the re-release of other models such as the Vomero, which follows a similar style and aesthetic. We saw the late ‘90s model make its way back onto shelves in a choice of black and grey, neon and red, or black and blue with hyper jade accents.
