Without a doubt the NIKE AIR HUARACHE LIGHT BURGUNDY continues the amazing retro series of one of our favourite classic Nike models. Although the fever is still boiling away for the basic Huarache right now, when you dig through the early ’90s Nike running archives, there really aren’t many better shoes than the Huarache Light. And this special burgundy and white edition really ticks the boxes for us.
The Light has always been a good shoe for all genders – it’s got that sleek, aerodynamic look to the shape that evokes the idea of running and movement. Other brands have introduced their own models that follow this aesthetic, but the original will always be the best. As for the colours, this special release might be a little more flamboyent than what we’re used to, but it’s a guaranteed head turner! Pearlescent burgundy elephant leather on the mudguard and back panels is lovingly teamed with a dark burgundy mesh and foot cage – and then teamed with an ice-white midsole and navy blue swoosh. It’s a beautiful piece of footwear!
