Nike Air Huarache Run SE – Available Now

A quarter century after it first dropped, the NIKE AIR HUARACHE RUN SE returns with modern materials and technology, along with two interesting colourways.

The Nike Air Huarache Run SE is the latest iteration of the ’91 classic and what really catches our eye is the ACG-style colourway with a Gold Leaf-colored upper and Hyper Cobalt accents, as well as a Pure Platinum and Pink Blast version. Perfect for the autumn in the not-so-humble opinion of The Drop Date crew. Other than the attractive colour options, these Huaraches also include a perforated toe, speckled midsole and black, rubber outsole with a rather fetching waffle pattern, which has the added benefit of adding traction. This style also features a combination of synthetic leather paneling, thermoplastic hardware, Phylon midsole for lightweight cushioning, and Air Sole unit for protecting your feet, as well as the traditional Huarache neoprene footstock. The footstock was of course the brainchild of the great man, Tinker Hatfield, who drew his inspiration from the snug fitting boots he’d wear whenever he went water skiing. This design innovation, now iconic, elevated the Huarache far above the running shoe category, making the silhouette an essential item in any discerning sneakerhead’s collection.
