The Nike Air Icarus Extra QS Preempts the Forthcoming Retro Edition

The NIKE AIR ICARUS EXTRA QS gives us an early Quickstrike release of the forthcoming Air Icarus retro.

First released back in 1992, the Air Icarus is returning, 25 years after the original release. With two OG colourways getting a re-release shortly, this limited Quickstrike release drops this week to give us a taster of what’s to come – and to hopefully introduce a new younger audience to this classic running silhouette. These first two editions utilise various leathers on the upper: The Light Orewood Brown colourway has a light tan suede upper with black perforated details, whilst the second colourway – Iced Jade/Racer Blue-Black-Sail – features a mix of blue tones and black on the upper. Both colourways sit on a clean white midsole, which provides a solid contrast underneath. With Nike paying close attention to the classic shapes and styling of their original archival pieces, it’s great to see models such as the Icarus in such good form. We’re big fans and expect these to do well when they drop.
