Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro Flight Suit: A Closer Look

The imminent NIKE AIR JORDAN 5 RETRO FLIGHT SUIT is one of the livelier editions of the classic Jordan model, bringing a University Red dip to one of our favourite silhouettes. Thanks to the crew at SOLEBOX, we can take a closer look at this eye-catching masterpiece ahead of the drop.

Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe came from the hand behind some of his most groundbreaking and well-loved models, Tinker Hatfield. We’ve already taken a look at this deluxe edition here, but seeing the shoe in the wild really shows just how striking it is in the flesh. Predominantly constructed in University Red suede, the minimal contrasting details in black work perfectly with this shoe, reminding us of the infamous Raging Bull release but switching the black midsole and lace eyelets for – yep, you guessed it – red! The 3M reflective tongue upholds tradition and ties the other colours together perfectly. Red might be a love-or-hate colour for ‘heads out there, but when it’s applied to a bold design like the 5, you can’t deny that it looks mighty good. For fans of the 5, this will be a hard one to resist when it drops later this week.
