Yellow Peril: the Nike Air Jordan V Amarillo College Navy is Here

The Nike AIR JORDAN V AMARILLO COLLEGE NAVY finds one of the most-loved Jordan models getting a fresh Michigan yellow overcoat for its new ‘Inspire’ guise.

Twenty-six years after its original introduction, the Air Jordan V has made several appearances in its original form, with additional colourways and editions occasionally dropping over the past decades. This newest edition, entitled ‘Inspire’, goes all out with a bright and eye-catching yellow, inspired by the popular University of Michigan colours. To offset this vibrant hue, College Navy has been utilised along with the midsole, laces, shoe lining and across the tongue. The classic semi-transparent mesh on the sidewalls adds a little shine to the proceedings. In this all-over yellow, it reminds us a little of the Air Jordan 5 Retro T23 Tokyo edition from 2011 – this latest release should be a little easier to obtain as well as costing a few thousand dollars less. Needless to say, we expect this one to prove very popular when it lands courtside next week.
