Very Rare: Nike Air Max 1 SNKRS Paris Special Release

A breakthrough sneaker design courtesy of the inimitable Tinker Hatfield, the Air Max 1 first hit shelves back in 1987. Celebrating 30 years of Air Max technology, we’ve already seen a whole host of hype-fuelled re-releases this year, as well as an injection of innovative new styles including the instant classic, VaporMax. Taking it back to where it all began, the Air Max 1 will be released as part of an extra special women’s drop to coincide with Paris Haute Couture Fashion week on July 3rd.

Composed of decadent suede uppers in two shades of grey, the limited model is finished with a luxurious snakeskin textured overlay in a lilac tint, complete with a powdery red Swoosh.  Extra detailing is added with an embroidered nod to Paris on the heel, metallic lace-tips, and hang-tag. The silhouette’s instantly recognisable visible air midsole completes the release in fresh white, which is topped off with a classic gum outsole.

Limited to a very slim 75 pairs worldwide, 50 pairs will release through Nike SNKRS Paris early next week, with the remaining 23 gifted to a very lucky few. If you’ve got your eyes on these, then prepare for battle…
