A product of Nike’s On Air workshops, Shanghai finalist Cash Ru looked to the skies for his design inspiration, and the result sees Christian Tresser’s design blueprint for the 97 transformed in a way we’ve never seen before. A multi-layered upper boasts both semi-translucent panels and a suede mudguard in light blue to depict the city sky, with a white sole unit, tongue and replicated heel pulls acting as the fluffy clouds. Patriotic hits of red then appear across the swooshes, resulting in a one-off take on the late ‘90s classic.
