Check in and Check out with the Nike Air Max 98 Checkerboard

The NIKE AIR MAX 98 CHECKERBOARD continues the recent return of one of the most underrated Air Max models, bringing the old to the new in strong form.

Utilising the same sole unit as the previous year’s Air Max 97, the Air Max 98 perhaps seemed more subtle in way of technology or styling and at the time of release, it felt overlooked by other new models. But despite this cautious start, the 98 turned out to be a slow burner, gaining a loyal group of fans that continues to grow. The Air Max 98 features a beefed-up front section, with details such as lace loops, synthetic leather patches and ribbed sidewalls to emphasize the sturdy structure. This version comes in a little calmer than some of the recent colourways we’ve seen. Light pink provides the base layer for much of the shoe, with bright details featuring on the eye stays and other sections of the upper.
