The Nike Air Max 98 Returns in a Fresh Thunder Blue Colourway

The NIKE AIR MAX 98 THUNDER BLUE shows the return of one of the most underrated Air Max models, following the success of the Supreme collaboration release back in 2016.

Appearing on the same sole unit as the previous year’s Air Max 97, the Air Max 98 didn’t seem to be much of a leap forward in terms of technology or styling and once the Air Max Plus dropped later the same year, many people forgot about the 98. But despite its leisurely start, the 98 turned out to be a slow burner, with a loyal group of fans that has grown steadily over the years. The Air Max 97 has a sleek aesthetic whilst the Air Max 98 features a more beefed-up front section, with details such as lace loops, synthetic leather patches and ribbed sidewalls to emphasize the sturdy structure: the 98 had it all and wasn’t afraid to show it.

With the Air Max 98 celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, we can expect many more exciting drops like this to come so stay tuned!
