Make Way for the Nike Air Max Light OG

An underrated Air Max icon makes its way back onto the shelves with the NIKE AIR MAX LIGHT OG.

Quite possibly one of the most underrated Air Max models, the Air Max Light (also referred to as the Air Max II) was released two years after Tinker Hatfield’s debut visible Air model. The dots join up as you see it between its predecessor and successor, with the somewhat familiar construction revealing it as an apparent follow-up to the Air Max 1, with clear clues as to what was about to come from the Air Max 90, including those textured variable width lacestays and a BRS 1000 Waffle outsole. Fitted with a Phylon forefoot, it weighed in considerably lower than the 1 but unfortunately didn’t manage to capture the hearts and minds of footwear fans quite as much as fellow Air Max family members. However, the underrated model gets another shot at fame as it returns in its OG white, red and black colourway next week. Let us know if you’ll be getting involved…
