The 20th anniversary of the original Air Max Plus inspired a new generation of footwear fanatics to dig deep into the TN archives, so it makes no surprise that Nike is revitalising the somewhat underrated Air Max Plus III. The third instalment of the series features resized Air Max technology, encased within an aerodynamic heel panel that takes up the majority of the back section of the shoe. The midfoot and forefoot revise the vertical plastic overlays from the original design and swap them for horizontal capillaries. The front Air Max units sit in the usual place within the midsole, whilst the branding gets an update with toebox text and the classic yellow TN badge. There’s said to be several colourways reaching the shelves, but official photos of this Hyper Blue colourway suggest it’s not far from becoming a reality…
