The 20th anniversary of the original Air Max Plus reached far and wide in 1998, inspiring a new generation of footwear fanatics to dig deep into the TN archives. Quick to utilise this new-found interest, Nike brought back one of its closely related sneaker siblings last year: the Nike Air Max Plus III. The third instalment of the series features resized Air Max technology, encased within an aerodynamic heel panel that takes up the majority of the back section of the shoe. The midfoot and forefoot revise the vertical plastic overlays from the original design and swap them for horizontal capillaries. The front Air Max units sit in the usual place within the midsole, whilst the branding gets an update with toebox text and the classic yellow TN badge. This addition works a striking gradient blend of grey and neon yellow, which we’re convinced will go down a treat when it arrives.
