The return of the Tailwind series brings attention back to an interesting chapter in Nike’s running design history. The original 1978 shoe was the first shoe ever to feature Air technology – a significant moment in footwear history – and ever since then, Nike has continually developed the series. The Air Max Tailwind 4 hit the news recently when it was chosen by Supreme for a collaborative release earlier this season. With that drop paving the way, multiple colours have been lined up for the rest of 2019 – and this Red Orbit edition is a strong starter. The breathable mesh/synthetic upper features ribbed sidewalls and multiple layers that give this substantial and bold silhouette some real presence. The clean Ghost Aqua/Red Orbit-Wolf Grey colour scheme ticks all the right boxes for the warmer months as well.
