The NIKE AIR MAX TAILWIND V SP finds the stylish runner from 1999 making a return to the streets following the recent relaunch of its predecessor, the Air Max Tailwind IV.

The return of the Air Max Tailwind series turns our attention back to an important and significant chapter in Nike’s running design history. The original 1978 Tailwind model was the first shoe to feature Air technology, which was a definitive moment for the brand and something that set foundations for years to follow. The Air Max Tailwind V finds itself in the retro line-up for 2020, after a successful relaunch of the previous edition, the Air Max Tailwind IV. The unusual silhouette uses ribbed sidewalls and stripped-back layers to give it a sleek shape. These two colourways – Iron Grey/Off Noir-Light Armory Blue and Medium Olive/Oil-Sequoia Green – are strong starters for the return of this interesting archival design.
