Separate from the Chaff with the Nike Air More Uptempo Wheat

The NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO WHEAT offers up a stripped back take on the mid-’90s model.

After kicking up a storm earlier in 2017 with the whirlwind Suptempo release, it’s been quite a year for the Scottie Pippen backed basketball silhouette. The classic model has toned its colourway offering down slightly since the hyped-fuelled brazen gold and red model drops back in spring, and instead enters autumn with a view toward creating a bevvy of more simplistic tonal palettes across the mid-’90s model that sit a little easier both on the eye and foot.

Next up we can expect this serene “Wheat” makeup, which sees the model adopt the light brown colourway across both the premium suede uppers and robust midsole, with additional leather piping details, heel pulls, and the model’s trademark scaled-up “AIR” overlays taking shape in the same shade. A translucent Swoosh is also present on the back heel, adding a faultless finish to this lauded (and maybe slightly Marmite) model. To cop or not, that is the question.
