The NIKE AIR PEGASUS 89 SE looks back 30 years to where it all began with this double drop of OG-inspired colourways…
The original Pegasus released as in 1983, and like its namesake, was designed “half-air” to represent speed and agility. It became a solid fixture on Nike’s release calendar throughout the ‘80s, with upgrades released almost annually. Here we see the return of the consistently hyped-up 1989 edition, which saw the model morph into what would be considered a more contemporary running build akin to models such as the Air Span II; featuring a mesh base with suede overlays, an Air-Sole unit, and Waffle outsole. Currently reaching 30 years in circulation, this double drop on Nike transports us back to its inception with the OG-inspired Light Bone, Vivid Blue, Light Taupe and Black colourway, alongside a second Swan, Rose Coral, Black and Medium Grey option.
