The original Presto dropped way back in 2000, offering the ultimate in comfort: its simple, clean design and foot-hugging support made it a favourite for both runners and collectors alike. Over twenty years on, the Presto remains a fun and interesting shoe kept alive by the imagination of Nike’s design team and consumers alike via the By You platform. This special edition of the Presto never made it to retail: it was intended for the Australian athletes who took part in the Sydney Olympics back in 2000 – with a few additional pairs set aside for friends and family members. Ever since then, the shoe has only shown up in semi-mythological thrift store finds and other such tales. That is until now, as Nike is dropping the shoe as a special limited release, giving fans a chance to own one of the greatest Prestos ever created. Presented in a zingy Freshwater/Varsity Maize-Midnight Navy colour scheme, the South Cross embroidery on the toe box and custom AUS branding on the heel finish things off in appropriate style.
