The Nike Air Presto Ultra SI Goes Wild in Mushroom, Bright Cactus and Deadly Pink!

The NIKE AIR PRESTO ULTRA SI takes Nike’s simplified masterpiece and gives it a thorough overhaul with some smart styling and lively colours.

The regenerating of the Presto has been interesting to watch. The original Presto dropped way back in 2000, offering the ultimate in lightweight comfort: its simple, clean design and foot-hugging uppers made it a firm favourite. Promoted as the ‘t-shirt for your feet’, the colourways were a big part of the Presto’s allure. And that hasn’t changed almost twenty years on – the Presto remains a fun and interesting shoe, continually kept alive by the imagination of Nike’s design team.

This latest edition features one of the colours of the moment (a smart beige hue, labelled here as a very-autumnal sounding Mushroom) with disruptive touches of Deadly Pink and BrightCactus sitting atop a speckled sole unit. What sounds like it could be a bit of a mess turns out to be a smart, slightly ACG-esque stunner. We’re really into these, so it’s a bit of a shame that they’re being marketed out as a WMNS/Women’s release. That said, we’ve seen some bigger sizes in some territories already, so keep your fingers crossed for the same treatment if and when it drops in Europe.
