Big Apple Vibes with the Nike Air VaporMax Plus in Blue and Orange

Nike gives us another smart colourway of the NIKE AIR VAPORMAX PLUS, this time in a fetching combination of Navy Blue and Orange.

For those in the US, this edition of the popular Air Max Plus hybrid might seem to have a hint of The Big Apple about it, as the blue and orange hues are a little reminiscent of NYC’s baseball teams, the Mets and the Knicks. A rich navy blue covers most of the upper section, extending across the toebox, forefoot and sides, before giving way to orange on the heel. A visual analogy for the setting sun? A reference to the golden yellows of seasonal change? Or, as some have suggested, a subtle homage to the heroes in the New York Fire Department? We’re not sure, but regardless of the back story, this is another strong colourway of one of our favourite models in Nike’s current offerings.
