The NIKE DUALTONE RACER sees the celebrated Flyknit Racer get a clean nubuck overhaul for the lifestyle market.

First released in the summer of 2013, Nike’s Flyknit Racer was at the forefront of running prowess, equipped with some of the most advanced running technology on the market at that time. A sleek and minimal silhouette, its knitted uppers have become synonymous with running and lifestyle wear alike, and are a staple for many.

We’ve become quite acquainted with the shoe’s Flyknit construction, but images teased on Sneakers Addict in France suggest Nike are about to flip the script – transforming the shoe with nubuck uppers for a clean and classic take on the footwear favourite.

Taking away the knit also results in a slight tweak on the name, with Dualtone Racer being a more appropriate choice for this new lifestyle orientated take on the performance shoe. So far, we’ve seen the shoe in what’s being touted as an Oatmeal colourway and a similar muted pink colour scheme: no doubt more colours will follow.

We’re still awaiting official release information for the NIKE DUALTONE RACER but will post news as it comes in. For now, you can shop the current Flyknit collection over at NIKE by clicking the banner below.
