The NIKE X FRAGMENT SOCK DART has been doing the rounds over the past few days, as part of the NikeLab and Hiroshi Fujiwara product discussions. The images, as seen on Hypebeast, have been accompanied by rumours that the Pool Aoyama olive colour shown here might only be a sample and not actually included in the forthcoming release. That said, we’re still excited to see one of the most unique lightweight runners from Nike’s archive make a return to the streets.
Unseen since its release back in 2004, the Nike Sock Dart was the first shoe to be created with computerised knitting technology on the uppers – a forerunner to much of the innovation used today. The silicone strap across the top section and the geometric sole unit still look as revolutionary as they did a decade ago.
The NIKE X FRAGMENT SOCK DART is scheduled for a December drop. We’ll keep you posted with news of the release as soon as we receive it.
