Nike, Jordan and Converse present Art of a Champion

The ART OF A CHAMPION collection brings together Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse on one of the strongest packs of footwear we’ve seen in a while. Celebrating some of the most legendary plays and players in NBA history, the collection consists of sixteen shoes, which represents the number of wins required to secure the Championship.

The first models to release will be a Kawhi Leonard-inspired NIKE AIR JORDAN 1 entitled ‘Pass the Torch, a Rasheed Wallace NIKE AIR FORCE 1 HIGH named ‘Rude Awakening,’ a Julius Erving CONVERSE PRO LEATHER MID known as ‘The Scoop’ and ‘Final Seconds’ NIKE KOBE PROTRO 1.

In May, the Kevin McHale CONVERSE FASTBREAK ‘No Easy Buckets’, the Scottie Pippen NIKE AIR MAESTRO II ‘Trifecta’, the Bill Russell CONVERSE CHUCK 70 OX ’30 and 40′, a Maya Moore NIKE AIR JORDAN 11 ‘Rook to Queen’, a Wes Unseld CONVERSE STAR PLAYER OX ‘Intangibles’, a Moses Malone NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW ‘Fo’ Fi’ Fo’, a Ray Allen NIKE AIR JORDAN XX8 ‘Locked and Loaded’, and a NIKE LEBRON SOLDIER 1 ’25 Straight’.

Following that incredible schedule, the following month of June sees Kevin Durant’s retro of Michael Jordan’s immortal NIKE ZOOM KD IV ‘Battle Tested’, as well as a retro of Michael Jordan’s immortal NIKE AIR JORDAN 14 ‘Last Shot’ — the latter of which will release on June 14, the same day MJ secured victory for the Bulls in ’99. Rounding out the collection is the amazing-looking ‘Gold Standard’ NIKE AIR FORCE 270, which is inspired by the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, and a mystery shoe that ‘will be defined by this year’s NBA Champion.’ Watch for both of these to drop after the Championship in June.
