A First Look at the Nike LunarCharge Essential’s Fresh New Colourways

Fans of the new NIKE LUNARCHARGE ESSENTIAL silhouette will surely be rubbing their trainer-grabbing hands with glee as The Swoosh prepares to release a glut of new styles for both men and women.

Since the silhouette made its debut in November, Nike has been releasing new colours and variations at a steady clip, and this weekend’s drop will offer a host of brand new options to choose from. Included are speckled variations in Black/White, Palm Green, Grey/Black, Binary Blue/Blue Moon and Black/Dark Obsidian for men, while women will have similar options but also a Oatmeal/Sail colourway. In addition to these, both men and women will have the option of picking up a Premium, Air Max 90-inspired  colourway in Wolf Grey/Black/White with those familiar hits of Infrared, as well as a Premium homage to the Air Max 95 ‘Neon’ that’s clad in Dark Grey/Black with the poppin’ Volt accents.

For anyone new to the Lunarcharge, it’s a brand-new style from Nike, albeit one that takes its inspiration from five of the brand’s old school icons: the streamlined shape, neoprene material, eye stays, internal bootie construction and Lunarlon sole unit are borrowed from the Air Current, Air Flow, Air Max 90, Air Presto and LunarEpic respectively. But you don’t have to be a trainer historian to appreciate the final result, which combines exceptional comfort with a sleek, futuristic aesthetic.
