Before taking up his position as a track and field coach, which led him to design the Cortez, Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman served in the 10th Mountain Division of the United States Army, spending his time conquering mountainous and arctic conditions. With this in mind, the all-new THE10TH collection fuses both utility and outdoor know-how across clear silhouettes primed for everyday wear.  The line’s debut model is named the “Sertu” and works an unusual golden suede and leather construction that seems to borrow elements from other models; incorporating similar stretchy fabrication to the Air Woven around the lacebed and the same semi-translucent material as the React Element 87 on the tongue, as well as a trusty React midsole. “THE10TH” appears on the side tab, signifying the start of what could be a thoroughly interesting new series from the Swoosh, which will debut alongside the N.354 and D/MS/X collections.
