Depending on whose Instagram timelines you’re following, you may have noticed images cropping up this past day or two of the latest NIKE SB installation over in East London. The now famous Quaker Street location has been further adapted, turning it into a unique skate spot to celebrate the signature shoe of team rider Brian Anderson – the NIKE SB PROJECT BA.

Transformed into a 3D version of the current Black on Pink creative behind the campaign, this mental set up is full of ledges, transitions, coping and features to give the skaters involved a ride that’ll stick with them for a very long time to come. Those lucky enough to skate this crazy good set up have been pulled together from the best of the UK’s skate store teams, to take part in a filming project that’ll become part of the continued Project BA campaign as the weeks go on.

With shops such as LOST ART, SLAM CITY and NOTE providing the riders, there’s going to be some next level skating come the edit, highlighting just how good the current cream of the UK’s skating talent really is. If we’re lucky enough to see anything from the likes of Denis Lynn, Neil Smith, Dogger, Ben Grove and young Charlie Birch, in amongst a whole host of other serious gnarly skaters, then we’re in for a very good show indeed.

The shoe itself is a fantastic example of how utilising available footwear technology can not only create a product with every aspect of a skater’s requirements in mind, but also add to the aesthetics and its overall appearance. With a slightly chunkier silhouette than we’ve been used to of late, the Project BA has the comfort, weight, durability and looks to outshine a large percentage of the shoes on the market today, and the fact that the SB team have gone to the trouble of giving it such a memorable launch, we take as testament to just how good the shoe really is.

Available now in the Black / Pink colourway – along with another three offerings, and more to follow – the NIKE SB PROJECT BA can be found via the link-through to the Product Page below.
