Eric Koston’s Forthcoming Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Low UNC is Unveiled

The NIKE SB x AIR JORDAN 1 LOW UNC has been unveiled by the skater whose name is attached to the release, Eric Koston.

If you weren’t skateboarding in the 1980s, the connection between one of the most important basketball shoes and the skating world might seem a little bizarre. But if you go through the archives of skate history, the Jordan 1’s presence is obvious, as the shoe was worn by some of the best skaters of all-time. Unfussy leather uppers and a solid flat midsole keep things simple on the Jordan 1, ensuring stability and even weight distribution. Back in 2014, the crossover between Jordan Brand and Nike Skateboarding came to fruition thanks to some creative concepts from Bones Brigade skate legend Lance Mountain and artist Craig Stecyk. For this forthcoming low-top edition, legendary skater Eric Koston lends his name to the release, with Nike adding the UNC title and colour scheme: a nod to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. A classic Nike design, constructed in premium materials and presented in Carolina Blue and White guarantees that these are gonna fly off the shelves.
