Last Tuesday evening saw The Deck, a rooftop corner of The National Theatre on London’s Southbank play host to an evening of music, art and trainers to celebrate the official launch of the NIKE SNEAKERBOOTS Campaign.
Against one of the most panoramic and stunning views in the capital at night, the set of five silouettes in their key colourways sat suspended in perspex cases, giving you a chance to take a closer look at the shoes in amidst the neons and blurs of the beautiful backdrop, and it’s fair to say, one of the best locations for a launch event in quite some time.
The goings on inside were pretty much as urban as you’re going to get, with live art provided by the Graffiti Life collective, who spent the night decorating the snow white installation that replicated the landmarks of the city, whilst the music came from Krept, Konan and Mikill Pane who busted out a set that played out well to the event and it’s surroundings.
If we told you there was a flying robot in a pair of the AM90 SNeakerboots, hovering around the balcony and filming some of the evening, would you believe us?…
For us though, the highlight of any event is the footwear on show, and it was good to see a healthy mix of the shoes we’d all come to celebrate, in amongst a heavyweight lineup of current heat and older fire on the feet – props to everyone that dug into their crates, you know who you are!
The pictures and video below tell the real story of the night, and once again a big thanks to NIKE for another solid event, which is pretty much the norm these days when it comes to launching such a campaign. A special thanks to SIZE? too, for the kind hospitality as always – a pleasure chaps, and great work on the video too!
