The Nike x CLOT Air Max 1 Kiss of Death Returns

Following last year’s rumours, the NIKE X CLOT AIR MAX 1 KISS OF DEATH is set to return shortly.

Founded by Edison Chen & Kevin Poon in 2003, Hong Kong streetwear brand CLOT has many successful collaborations in its archives including several Nike projects that have resonated well across the globe. However, few could argue that their Air Max 1 from 2006 is perhaps the most acclaimed to date, selling out instantly upon release and commanding vast sums on the resale market ever since. The attention to detail, from the insoles right through to the packaging, was at optimum levels, featuring graphics and embellishments inspired by the human foot’s anatomy and the ancient Chinese art of pressure points. The transparent toe box, first seen on the ESPO x Air Force II and the later Air Force 12 ‘Invisible Woman’, ensured that the wearer’s sock game was on-point, and the use of luxury materials such as ostrich skin, faux-snakeskin and premium suede cemented this release in the Nike collaborations hall of fame.
