Nike x Coral Studios Air Max 95 v2 Raises Awareness for The Great Barrier Reef Foundation

The NIKE X CORAL STUDIOS AIR MAX 95 V2 follows the 2018 collaboration project, once again raising awareness for The Great Barrier Reef Foundation: an organisation dedicated to saving and preserving one of the world’s seven natural wonders.

The Coral Studios x Nike Air Max 95 in 2018 was an extremely limited shoe, with just 50 pairs released during a special event at Philly-based boutique Lapstone & Hammer. If the highly exclusive factor wasn’t enough to excite people, the fact that LeBron James was spotted wearing the shoes during warmups then raised the profile even further. For the 2021 release, a combination of leather and suede has been dressed in Ocean Blue with pink and orange accents, resulting in an eye-catching piece of footwear. The bright Teal lining contrasts with the black midsole and outsole to complete the design, with each hue echoing elements of the reef’s natural beauty. Packaged in an ecologically-friendly collapsible shoebox, the QR stamp on the side of the box allows for easy donations to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. A great design with a great message behind it: let’s hope they’re easier to pick up than the predecessor!
