First joining forces in 2018, the three-way collaboration between designer John Elliott, basketball superstar Lebron James, and sportswear giant Nike has provided us with a fresh twist on the concept of a basketball shoe, whilst still maintaining certain lifestyle edge. First making an appearance in the designer’s Pre-Fall 2019 lookbook, the newest iteration is a black colourway detailed with a classic translucent gum outsole. Drawing inspiration from the Lebron 8, the collaboration model takes aspects of the basketball model but maintains individuality with taped components along with the upper and further translucent synthetic details.
