Nike x sacai Air Footscape Spotted at Paris Fashion Week
The NIKE X SACAI AIR FOOTSCAPE gives a little more airtime to a mid 90’s cult classic, handing the baton to Chitose Abe. Meticulously designed to sync up with the foot’s natural profile, the Footscape first hit shelves in 1996. Some may say it’s a bit of a Marmite shoe but its many variations over the years prove that there is definitely a dedicated following out there, us included. The Footscape’s off-kilter design fits in well with sacai’s design language, making it a match made in heaven for founder Chitose Abe. Spotted on feet during the sacai Paris FW23 runway this week, the supposed collab sports a hiking-inspired mid-rise suede and mesh construction complete with padded collars.
