After his first drop of the Daybreak in a choice of Black or Blue Jay; Jun Takahashi unveils two more collaborative spins on the Daybreak model from 1979. The early running silhouette is receiving its fair share of attention at the moment, with elements of it alive in the upcoming sacai collaboration as well as Jun’s creations. A simple suede and textile upper is the basis for the design, which is accentuated with a plastic heel wrap that adds a winged effect. “U” printed heel tabs add to the branding details, with “UNDERCOVER, Jun Takahashi” appearing on both the speckled midsole and tongue tabs. Due to land at the weekend for a second time this month, fans will be able to choose between a simple Black and Sail colourway or a more lively Lucky Green and University Red option.
