Futuristic Formations: The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 SE SP Returns in New Colours

The NIKE ZOOM VOMERO 5 SE SP continues to appear in new colours, following A-COLD-WALL*’s use of the obscure, technical model from 2010 and two subsequent colourways.

To say that the Vomero is an obscure shoe wouldn’t be far from the reality at all. Launched as part of Nike’s 2010 line-up, the Zoom Vomero +5 represented the top tier of technical performance footwear at the time – and it still looks futuristic almost a decade later. Constructed in TecTuff® leather and mesh, the upper sections of the shoe is extremely lightweight and well-ventilated to keep the foot cool and minimise perspiration. Underneath, the Cushlon foam and Zoom Air cushioning work in tandem to offer a comfortable platform with subtle, but enhanced support in the right places. Reflective tape and Giger-esque ribbing on the medial and lateral panels complete this other-worldly piece of performance design. These three colours – Dark Gray/Black, White/Racer Blue/Black and Electric Green/Black/Sail – suit the silhouette well, taking it from the monotone simplicity that we’ve seen already and widening the appeal further.
