The NIKE AIR VAPORMAX first hit the NIKEiD site back on Air Max Day, disappearing quickly as demand clearly outstripped supply. A follow-up appearance also went the same way, with people eager to get creative on this unique and wildly-popular addition to the Air Max lineage.

The Nike VaporMax has been covered by us already, many times over. But when a shoe is this revolutionary, it’s going to remain relevant for a long time. It’s a solid performance shoe, with runners reporting positively on the buoyant qualities of the sole unit and the tried-and-trusted lightweight Flyknit uppers. In its regular retail form, the VaporMax is exciting enough, but the opportunity to tweak things to your own preference with NikeiD turns the excitement dial a notch louder. As they often say, less is more, and there’s little point in going nuts with the crayons on the VaporMax. In this simple, monotone iD creation that we’re showing here, it still has more than enough power to turn heads.
