Hold the ACG! The NikeLab 07 KMTR Returns in a Slightly Different Format

The NIKELAB 07 KMTR is a slightly different version of the recent addition to the ACG chronicles. Combining a modern hiking style with a sleek, refined shape that looks well-suited to the street, this silhouette has clearly got some mileage in it.

The ACG range will always have its fans. The earliest elements of All Conditions Gear were formed back in the early 1980s, when shoes such as the Lava Dome, Magma and Approach were released, but it wasn’t until 1989 that the ACG concept was formally announced. Decades later, and after being quietly put to rest a few years ago, ACG was relaunched in late 2014 with expert guidance from Acronym’s legendary founder, Errolson Hugh. We’ve seen several new designs reach the shelves, but the ACG.07.KMTR has been one of the most interesting to date.

This new edition of the KMTR, or the NIKE KOMYUTER if you prefer, drops the ACG prefix and some of the premium features (such as the tumbled leather panels), instead opting for reflective panels on the heel and off-white detailing on the drawstring backing. Whilst the ACG branding is missing, the overall thought process remains the same, focusing on simplicity. We like this model, so it’s good to see it being brought out once again, albeit in a slightly different format.
