We can confirm that NIKESTORE EUROPE will be taking action against bots this week. The ‘rise of the bots’ might sound like a forthcoming Transformers movie, but it’s become a digital infection plaguing the trainer/sneaker community.
Nike’s updated terms and conditions now state that they reserve the right to cancel orders from people who use ‘programs or scripts that provide them an unfair advantage’. Coders quickly tried to prepare workarounds and whilst the advantage was being diminished, the battle went on… at least until last weekend.
Nike have now implemented a CAPTCHA system in the US, and whilst we don’t yet know whether the exact same system will be in place over here, we can confirm that you’ll be seeing some changes within the NIKESTORE EUROPE checkout process very shortly.
