PUMA STATES – WINTER GUM PACK

 

The PUMA STATES is definitive proof of the old adage that ‘you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone’. Like all truly classic footwear designs, the States became ubiquitous and thereafter somewhat under-appreciated in favour of the Suede. While seemingly the same shoe, true connoisseurs know the difference—see our recent chat with the one and only Chris Law for proof!

When the shoe made its welcome re-entry into PUMA’s lineup earlier this year we were overjoyed to see the return of that fantastic original shape, top quality material and, of course, those fat laces. The subsequent ‘Summer Cooler’ pack offered us some exotic Pantones for the sunshine, but now the days are drawing in and it’s getting altogether damper, PUMA have come up with the WINTER GUM PACK.

Building on those hardy gum soles, PUMA have coloured the all-suede uppers in 3 winter-appropriate shades: scarlet, olive and black, with matching Formstripes to keep things low-key. Details include that all-important gold ‘States’ branding on the midfoot, a gum-coloured heel logos and leather sockliners. Rest assured: fat laces are included as well.
