The PUMA x PACKER SHOES COW SUIT COLLECTION pays homage to the man who inspired PUMA’s most timeless silhouette, the Clyde.
If we’re talking about sportsmen who can effortlessly master prints, then at the top of the bill has to be NBA basketball player, commentator and eclectic style icon, Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Originally launched in 1973, the PUMA Clyde was named in honour of Frazier, who captured the hearts and minds of the sports world with his ’70s retro look, which included bold and brash turtlenecks, fur coats, hats, and a love for animal prints splashed over wild custom-tailored suits.
Paying homage to some of the out-there prints and patterns championed by Clyde over the years, PUMA team up with heritage basketball brand Packer Shoes to create an extra-special print-led trio of the eponymous silhouette. Constructed with plush suede uppers, each pair is finished with a luxurious faux fur cow-print Formstripe, with the animal print also applied to the sockliner, along with Packer branding in a gold print. A pleather tongue label, milky white sole and gold branding throughout provide a premium yet casual feel on this timeless model.
Available in black, royal blue, or red with a corresponding print, we’ve got our eyes firmly on the calendar for this drop.
The PUMA x PACKER SHOES COW SUIT COLLECTION will be available from FRIDAY 7 APRIL. In the meantime, check the PUMA collection at END. via the banner below
