The Reebok Classics x Footpatrol Workout Lo Plus Blackbuck Digs Deep into the History Books

The REEBOK CLASSICS x FOOTPATROL WORKOUT LO PLUS BLACKBUCK marks the fifth collaborative project under the Certified Network partnership with this elite rendition of the iconic Workout Lo Plus silhouette.

For this special collaboration project, Footpatrol have delved deep into the origins of Reebok with this exceptional take on the iconic Workout Lo Plus trainer. Investigating the brand name’s original meaning, Footpatrol have taken inspiration from the word rhe‘bok: a grey South African antelope. From this starting point, further research presented them with an antelope commonly found in India, known as the Blackbuck antelope. The Blackbuck has a unique appearance with its two-tone colouration – an upper coat that shifts from dark brown to black, with white underparts and legs – and one that lends itself particularly well to footwear design.

To execute the concept in true style, black pigskin nubuck covers the upper section with black pony hair overlays and white leather trim around the tongues for a bold contrast in terms of both colour and texture. Co-branded tongue labels and vintage branding rendered in both white leather and a black woven style match the premium detailing throughout the rest of the shoe, whilst a stash pocket on the tongue adds a fun and functional element to the design. Three sets of laces (black, white and a special Footpatrol logo option) complete this superior project in true style.

The REEBOK CLASSICS x FOOTPATROL WORKOUT LO PLUS BLACKBUCK drops on SATURDAY 13 MAY, in-store and online exclusively at FOOTPATROL, with a worldwide release to follow afterwards.
