Reebok x Kendrick Lamar Classic Leather Deconstructed – Release Info

The REEBOK x KENDRICK LAMAR CLASSIC LEATHER DECONSTRUCTED is the latest instalment of the collaborative series between the sportswear brand and the rapper.

For this latest chapter, Garbstore’s Ian Paley has taken the reigns, continuing his clever inside-out aesthetic that we’ve seen previously on the Garbstore collaborations. Kendrick’s chosen themes of gang neutrality and unity are represented again, with red and blue representing the Bloods and Crips respectively. This time however, the metaphor extends further to represent the difficult crossroads Lamar has had to face in his life. The struggle between seeking fame and facing responsibilities of being a positive role model crops up as a theme, symbolised by the contrasting details on the shoes. The stitching that runs down the middle of each shoe which can be interpreted as mending rivalries and the mental struggles of treading the right pathways in life…
