2015 is going to be a big year for the REEBOK VENTILATOR. To prove the point, we can show you another great collaboration on the model, this time from the team over at SNEAKERSNSTUFF.
The BEES AND HONEY theme is one that is very topical at the moment as the world’s bee population is on the verge of being wiped out… At this point some of you may be thinking, ‘so what?’. Apart from the fact that if all the bees go extinct there will no longer be any honey, there’s a more serious point; without bees, flowers, bushes and trees don’t get pollinated and will in time die out. Without them, in time, the human race dies out too… In short, bees are pretty damn important!
Over in Stockholm, the home of SNEAKERSNSTUFF, there’s an initiative called Bee Urban, which inspires people and companies to sponsor beehives up on rooftops in the city. This is exactly what the two brands here have decided to do in the hope to try and help save the bees.
So now you know a little about why this particular theme was chosen, let’s take a look at the shoe. A neutral black upper is made up of a combination of premium leather, suede and ballistic nylon, with contrast added by the honey yellow lining. As we have come to expect from the SNEAKERSNSTUFF team, there are some nice little details on the shoe, including embroidered bees on the heels, tonal SNS logos on the lateral side and dual-branded tongues. The shoes are finished off with a clean white midsole and outsole that is matched to the colours of the upper. Apart from trying to help save the bees and the human race there is an extra bonus to sponsoring a beehive… you get to keep the honey that is harvested from it! If you buy a pair of these shoes, you will get a complimentary gift of this honey in a special HEXALITE shaped dual-branded jar. Now that’s a nice touch!
