Run The Boroughs: Greenwich

RUN THE BOROUGHS head south of the river to explore the heart of London’s royal and maritime past, Greenwich…

Last time we checked in with city-spanning running club Run The Boroughs they were way up north in Haringey, but now it’s time to head to another corner of the city, this time to explore the riverside community of Greenwich. The home of Cutty Sark and Greenwich Mean Time, it’s a known tourist hotspot with winding streets and hidden buildings dating back to Tudor London. Somewhat of a trek from Central London that’s not often done by Londoners, efforts will be rewarded with riverside jogs and open spaces flanked by the big lights of Canary Wharf that give that comforting city feeling, but with more room to breathe.

For this excursion, Run The Boroughs were joined by one of the main New Balance running campaign stars Sophie; a poet and DJ with a show on Foundation FM, known to many as The Nasty Poet. She is joined by The Drop Date’s very own Luke Miller, with both sharing their thoughts on exploring a lesser known area such as Greenwich.

RUN THE BOROUGHS is open for business: if you’d like to join the club or find out more head over to the Instagram and if you need running gear re-up, hit the banner below to shop the latest performance gear from NEW BALANCE.
