Earlier this year, Nike fans were invited to cast a vote on a variety of innovative and fresh spins on some of the most popular Air Max silhouettes as part of the RevolutionAir project, which saw a handful of footwear customisation specialists hone their trade of the models. A winner was found in sportswear connoisseur Sean Wotherspoon, who created a colour splashed hybrid which spliced together an Air Max 97 upper deck out in vivid corduroy, with a fresh white Air Max 1 midsole to boot. Corresponding accents take shape on the outsole, with further custom branded hits taking to the sandy cord tongue and light denim heel pulls to add extra character. 

The SEAN WOTHERSPOON AIR MAX 97 is said to be going on limited release next month in Los Angeles and Virginia (where, quite conveniently, Sean owns two sportswear stores, Round Two) – they’re also primed to drop in a more general sense on the next Air Max Day in MARCH 2018.
