The size? x adidas Originals Gazelle GTX ‘Milan’ Is Next Up In The City Series Collection

The SIZE? X ADIDAS ORIGINALS GAZELLE GTX ‘MILAN’ is the continuation of the retailer’s ongoing work with the German brand. This latest drop is the third of four GTX Gazelles in City Series colourways, following the ‘Amsterdam’ and ‘London’ iterations.

In a replication of the colourway found on the original Milano training shoe, the Gazelle GTX is constructed from a Deep Navy suede, which elegantly contrasts with gold striped branding running across each side and on the rear heel tab. As an additional homage to the OG mid-70s model, a gum sole wraps around the underside. The Gazelle is such a classic, it feels like it has been around forever. 2017 is actually the year the silhouette reaches its half century, which for many of The Drop Date’s readers means it may as well have been born in the Jurassic Period. Well, old as it may be, adidas has done an exemplary job keeping the shoe up to date and in keeping with modern tastes. For instance, Die Drei Streifen (A.K.A. The Three Stripes) recently upgraded the interior and lined it with a Gore-Tex membrane, a waterproofing method which keeps water out, but allows vapour to escape, thus providing ventilation. Despite packing in these new features and technologies, the shoe still retains that iconic Terrace Casual vibe and good looks, making it a must have for any serious collector or anyone who just has an eye for timeless styles.

The SIZE? X ADIDAS ORIGINALS GAZELLE GTX ‘MILAN’ will drop on FRIDAY 17 FEBRUARY at SIZE?.
